(Primghar)– A single vehicle crash Friday in O’Brien county sent two people to the hospital. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 70-year-old Lenice Mercer of Sioux City was driving a 2011 Honda westbound. Deputies say Mercer failed to stop at a stop sign and the vehicle went airborne coming to rest on the other side of the intersection.
Mercer and a passenger in the vehicle, 77-year-old Marilyn Hodgins of Sioux City, were taken to the Orange City hospital.
Mercer was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at a little more than $2,800.
The crash took place a little after 4:30 pm.
