(Sibley)– An investigation into a single vehicle crash Saturday resulted in an arrest. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 25-year-old Sara Gebrehiwot of Worthington was driving a 2011 Ford Focus northbound on Northwest Boulevard south of Highway 9. Authorities say the vehicle crossed the center line and traveled onto the southbound shoulder for about 500 feet. It then went into the ditch and collided with a culvert.
Gebrehiwot wasn’t injured. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence…2nd offense, and possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, 1st offense. Gebrehiwot was also cited for driving with a suspended license, open container and failure to maintain control. She was booked into the Osceola county jail on a $2,000 bond.
Authorities say Gebrehiwot was also being held on a valid Osceola county warrant.
