(Washington, D.C.)– The Senate Fiscal Year 2009 Department of Defense Appropriations Bill contains three million dollars for Polaris Industries of Spirit Lake to provide ultra-light vehicles for the National Guard.
Funding for other projects through various Iowa manufacturers, businesses, colleges and communities is included as well.
The funding is expected to be approved by the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
The bill must pass the Senate and House before it is sent to the President’s desk.
