(Worthington, Mn.)– A collision involving a car and a semi Thursday near Worthington sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 58-year-old Jerry Boedeker of White Lake, South Dakota was driving a 2003 Kenworth semi when he collided with the rear of a 1991 Buick LeSabre driven by 75-year-old Marlys Meyeraan of Worthington.
Meyeraan was taken by ambulance to Worthington Regional Hospital for treatment of bumps and bruises and neck pain.
No injuries were reported to Boedeker.
The driven by Meyeraan was totaled; minor damage was reported to the semi.
The mishap took place shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 just west of the junction with Highway 60 near Worthington.
The State Patrol says bright sunlight was a contributing factor in the crash.
