(Everly)– Drug charges have been filed against an O’Brien county man stemming from a search warrant that was executed Wednesday on a residence northwest of Everly.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the search turned up methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, weapons and several items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine including anhydrous ammonia, lithium and pseudoephedrine.
An arrest warrant was issued for 39-year-old Michael Roth of Sanborn charging him with possession of precursors…pseudoephedrine, a class “D” felony; possession of precursors…lithium, a class “D” felony; possession of anhydrous ammonia, also a class “D” felony; possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; improper storage of anhydrous ammonia, a serious misdemeanor; gatherings where illegal drugs are used, a class “D” felony; keeping a dwelling for possessing or using illegal controlled substances, an aggravated misdemeanor; and two counts of a felon in possession of a firearm…class “D” felonies.

Authorities say their investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
