(Larchwood)– The city of Larchwood has been awarded a $1 million Community Attraction and Tourism, or CAT Grant, to assist with the construction of a new community center.
The new facility will be just under 19,000 square feet in size and will be handicap-accessible. It will include space for recreation, youth programs, tournaments, craft fairs and other events. Amenities will include a multiuse gymnasium, walking track, fitness and aerobics rooms, a kitchen and community room.
The project has a total cost of slightly more than $4.1 million.
