(Spirit Lake)—A 15-year-old boy faces drug charges after police executed a search warrant today on a residence at 811 Ithaca Avenue in Spirit Lake.
Spirit Lake police say the search turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana along with some drug paraphernalia.
The teen, who’s name hasn’t been released, was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
Upon further investigation, police have also charged the teen with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, marijuana, within a thousand feet of a park…a class “D” felony.
The juvenile is being held at the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are likely.
