Search Of Estherville Residence Lands Several In Jail On Drug Charges

(Estherville)– A search warrant executed on a residence in Estherville on Wednesday of last week landed several people in jail on drug charges.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was serving a civil paper at 124 West 2nd Avenue North around 1:30 that afternoon and noticed some illegal drug activity. Authorities then obtained a search warrant and found drug paraphernalia, vape pens, cartridges, marijuana and nearly 160 grams of marijuana wax.

19-year-old Caleb Truong of Estherville was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…with intent to deliver, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, gatherings where controlled substances are used, misbranding or labeling of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 19-year-old Gabriel Soat of Estherville and 18-year-old Paije Bergstrom of primghar were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 17-year-old was referred to juvenile court on the same charges.

The Estherville Police Department assisted the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
