(Atlantic)– Road projects in several area cities have been awarded funding through the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy, or RISE program.
Sibley was awarded 231,682-dollars to extend a couple of roads in its industrial park; Emmetsburg will get 179,188-dollars to grade and pave about 1,350 feet of road in a new industrial park that will eventually contain 25 lots totaling more than 65 acres. The first phase will open the park and provide 13 lots totaling 16 acres.
And the city of Alton was awarded 232-thousand dollars to grade and pave a couple of roads in its industrial park.
The grants were awarded at today’s (Tuesday’s) Transportation Commission meeting in Atlantic.
