(Okoboji)– Republican Presidential hopeful and Arizona Senator John McCain brought his campaign to the Iowa Great Lakes Saturday with a stop at the Inn where he held a townhall meeting with some 200 people.
Excessive governmental spending, the war in Iraq, immigration and healthcare reform were the key issues McCain commented on.
When it comes to immigration, McCain says the status quo isn’t acceptable.
On the war in Iraq, McCain says he’s the first to admit it was poorly managed, but he remains a firm believer that the U-S should keep up the fight and that progress is being made.
McCain also called for a multi-faceted reform to healthcare as well as to Medicare and Social Security.
