(Arnolds Park)– Those attending Winter Games events this year at the Arnolds Park water front and green space will need to be on the lookout for some ongoing construction. Work continues in the area of the stage at the green space as well as on Lake Street. Blain Andera of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says all of the events scheduled in those areas will remain there…
“Everything will be able to be accessed from the greenspace. So for instance if you want to participate or watch the Polar Plunge you just come in from the greenspace and walk down along the boardwalk there and you can get right over there. Arnolds Park is going to have entertainment in the tent and so there will be lots of activities going on down there. Human Foosball will be happening down there as well.”
Andera says the Ruthven Meatlocker Chili Cook-off will be back this year…
“We are still accepting registrations for folks who want to prepare chili for that. So if you have a business that you want to be part of that event or an individual or nonprofit, get a hold of Kiley at the Chamber and we will be happy to talk to you about that.”
The kite festival will be held once again this year and looks to be even bigger. We’ll have more on that in coming days. There’s also still time to register for events…
