(Cherokee)– Some regional ag cooperatives that merged last year now have a new name. Alceco/Ag Partners and First Cooperative Association merged in September of 2021. They will now be known as AgState. The announcement was made today (Monday). A redesigned company logo was also revealed. Company officials say a new website will also be launched this spring.
In a press release, AgState CEO Troy Upah says the new name will allow them to better represent their business to current farmer members and to attract younger farmers. The release goes on to say “the company’s 12 member farmer board of directors and leadership team remains focused on team integration and capturing the synergies between the two organizations.”
