November 22, 2014

(Ashton)– A Sibley man was injured Monday while working on a moving rail car.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old David Lee was attempting to unhook the car on some tracks north of Ashton when he caught his right leg under the car.

Lee was freed by rescue crews and was transported by ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. He was later airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.

Information on Lee’s condition and the severity of his injuries wasn’t immediately available.
