(Des Moines)– The route this year’s Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, or RAGBRAI, was released over the weekend. RAGBRAI 2022 will be held July 23rd through July 30th.
The route will start in Sergeant Bluff. The first overnight stop will be in Ida Grove. That will be followed by an overnight stop in Pocahontas for the very first time. Other overnight stops will be held in Emmetsburg, Mason City, Charles City, and West Union, before ending up in Lansing.
The 49th edition of RAGBRAI will cover roughly 430 miles this year, which will be the 11th shortest ride in the event’s history. The full route, including pass-through towns, is expected to be released in March.
Approximately 15-thousand registered RAGBRAI riders from all 50 states, as well as international locations, take part in the event each year.
