(Primghar)– O’Brien county authorities hope a new piece of equipment the county recently purchased with a donation from a local business will help slow down traffic.
Sheriff Michael Anderson says a new radar traffic trailer will be used throughout the county in areas where there have been speed concerns.
Anderson says the trailer is equipped with a device that can capture data on the high, low and median speeds along with traffic counts of vehicles that approach it. It also displays the vehicle’s speed.
Anderson says the equipment will provide information as to where deputies should be deployed to nab speeders.
The unit was purchased with a donation of 8,145-dollars from Perspective Insurance.
