(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson county is better prepared in the event of a pandemic thanks to a table-top exercise held Wednesday at the Dickinson County Community Building in Spirit Lake.
Mary Dunleavy of Dickinson County Public Health says it portrayed a pandemic involving a deadly strain of flu…something she says isn’t a matter of if it’s going to happen, but when.
Dunleavy says representatives from all of the critical agencies that would be involved in such a crisis were represented at Wednesday’s exercise, facilitated by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
