Program Next Month In Spirit Lake Will Address Farm Succession

February 24, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– A program being held next month in Spirit Lake will address the topic of farm succession. Amy Benge of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dickinson County says it will cover several issues related to the topic…

“Anyone who is looking at farm succession, it would be great for you to attend. There are different areas that they’ll discuss. What your visions are, what the goals are, different ideas for successful and harmonious farm transition, succession planning, legal review, and beginning farmer loan and tax credit programs.”

Benge says the cost for the seminar is $30 per person or $40 per couple, and pre-registration is necessary…

“They can give us a call at 712-336-3488 or they can call the Emmet County Extension at 712-362-3434.”

The March 16th program will be held from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Community Room at the Dickinson County Expo Building in Spirit Lake.
