Possible Injuries Reported In Spencer Collision

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision this (Tues.) morning at the intersection of Fourth Avenue East and East Fifth Street in Spencer resulted in possible injuries to a Spencer woman.

Spencer police say 42-year-old Catherine O’Connor of Spencer was westbound on East Fifth Street when a cup of coffee fell to the floor, distracting her. Authorities say she traveled through a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Ranae Kehoe of Spencer who was southbound on Fourth Avenue East.

Possible injuries were reported to O’Connor, who wasn’t immediately taken to a hospital. No injuries were reported to Kehoe.

4,500-dollars in damage was estimated to a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup driven by O’Connor; a 1998 Toyota Avalon driven by Kehoe sustained an estimated six thousand dollars in damage.

The mishap took place shortly before 6:30 a.m.

No citations were issued.
