November 12, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Everly)– Possible injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision Thursday at the intersection of 360th Street and County Road M-38 in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 86-year-old Charlotte Petersen of Sutherland was driving a 2000 Chevrolet S10 and 58-year-old Debra Munden of Royal was driving a 2011 Ford Fiesta northbound. Deputies say Petersen was making a left turn onto County Road M-38 when the two vehicles collided.

A passenger in the vehicle driven by Munden was taken by private vehicle to Spencer Hospital.

Petersen was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.

Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $2,000 each.

The collision took place shortly before 2:00 pm.

Everly Rescue and a towing service assisted on the scene.
