(Spirit Lake)– One of the two suspects charged in the death of a Lake Park woman last year has pleaded guilty in the case.
Court documents show Justice Berntson has changed his plea and has pleaded guilty to a charge of attempt to commit murder in the death of Angel Bastman of Lake Park. Berntson will face up to 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced.
Another suspect in the case, Allison Decker, is currently scheduled to go on trial in May, 2022 on a first degree murder charge in Bastman’s death.
