(Arnolds Park)– Special recognition for Okoboji Middle School Principal David Dorenkamp.
He’s been named a runner-up for 2007 Iowa Middle Level Principal of the Year by the School Administrators of Iowa.
Dorenkamp will be recognized at the SAI awards banquet August 7th in Des Moines, along with Steve Haberman of the Clarion-Goldfield Community School District, this year’s Iowa Middle Level Principal of the Year.
Dorenkamp has been Principal at the Okoboji Middle School since 1993. He’ll be stepping down at the end of the school year after 25 years as a school administrator and 32 years in K-12 education in Iowa.
