(Okoboji)– The Okoboji city council Tuesday took no action on a request to review the city’s comprehensive land use plan and a proposal to add a “resort enterprise” classification to the city’s zoning ordinance.
Officials with the Inn made the request for a planned expansion. A large contingency of neighbors opposed to the Inn’s plans were present again at Tuesday’s meeting.
Council members decided not to take any action, noting the fact no meetings have been held between Inn officials and the opposition group, calling itself “Concerned Citizens of Okoboji”.
When asked by an attorney of the Inn why the group hasn’t met with them yet, a representative of the group sited scheduling conflicts and the lack of a new proposal to talk about.
