(Milford)– A special honor for the Okoboji and Spirit Lake High School jazz bands, which placed first Tuesday in the Class 2A and 3A competitions at the Northwest Iowa Bandmasters’ Jazz Festival in Sioux City.
The first place finishes means they have qualified for the Iowa Jazz Championships to be held in Des Moines Tuesday, April 15th.
The Okoboji Middle School jazz band finished second in the Middle School division of class 1A/2A.
Okoboji High School Jazz will travel to Cedar Falls for the University of Northern Iowa’s Tall Corn Jazz Festival Saturday, February 16th.
The Okoboji High School and Middle School jazz bands will hold their annual Evening of Jazz concert Friday, March 7th at the Okoboji High School Auditorium.
