(Milford)– Damage was very minimal and no injuries were reported in a chimney fire Thursday evening near Milford.
Fire Chief Brian Craig says Milford firefighters were called to 2183 230th Street just southwest of Milford shortly after 7:00 p.m.
Upon arriving, Craig says firefighters found the basement of the home full of smoke. He says it was caused by an obstruction in a chimney for a woodburning furnace.
Firefighters ventilated the house.
They were there about an hour.
