(Primghar)—Two O’Brien county men face meth charges following an incident early Sunday west of Archer.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy on routine patrol spotted a vehicle near a residence and became suspicious of some activity that was going on near it. Additional deputies were called to assist.
Upon investigating, deputies arrested 53-year-old Robert Alan Smith of Primghar and 29-year-old Michael W. Walker of Sheldon. Both were charged with possession of meth precursors, a felony. Bond for both men was set at 10-thousand dollars.
Authorities then obtained a search warrant that was executed on Smith’s residence at 360 Fourth Street Apartment number five in Primghar. It resulted in the arrest of 37-year-old Shannon Smith of Correctionville on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. Johnson later pled guilty to the charge and paid a fine and was released.
Smith and Walker are to appear in court at a later date.
