O’Brien Co. Jury Convicts Man On Attempted Burglary Charge

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– An O’Brien county jury has found a Correctionville man guilty in connection with an attempted burglary and possession of burglar tools.

The charges against 36-year-old Louis Lopez stem from an attempted burglary last March at Beddy’s Bar in Sutherland.

Lopez faces up to two years in prison or a 6,250-dollar fine when he’s sentenced on the aggravated misdemeanor charges at a later date.

Lopez was acquitted of other charges, including two counts of burglary in the third degree and second degree theft. Those charges stem from burglaries on March 14th, 2006 at the Calumet Community Building and the theft of over a thousand dollars from a business.
