NW Aging Association Holding Town Meetings To Talk About Strategic Planning

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– The Northwest Aging Association is holding a series of town meetings throughout its service area as it embarks on a strategic planning process.

Cynthia Beauman, Executive Director of the Northwest Aging Association, says the meetings will give the public an opportunity to gain insight into the scope of the agency’s services and ask questions pertaining to those services.

Beauman says the meetings also provide an overview of the agency’s funding sources; explains how mandates of the Older Ammerican’s Act impact the agency; explains state requirements for the Area Agency on Aging; and gives descriptions of all the service areas.

Beauman says there will also be an explanation of the strategic planning process and the relationship between the agency and subcontractors of services, along with a discussion of the relationship between the Advisory Council and the governing board of directors.

The meeting for Dickinson county is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20th at the Spirit Lake Senior Citizens Center.
