(Spencer)– Clay county authorities have released details into a two-vehicle collision this past Sunday at the North Y in Spencer that sent two people to the hospital.
Deputies say 81-year-old John Reno of Terril was driving a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica was turning onto Highway 71 from Highway 18 when he pulled into the path of a southbound 2019 Jeep Compass driven by 71-year-old Don Hintz of Spencer.
Hintz and a passenger in his vehicle were taken to Spencer Hospital; Reno and a passenger in his vehicle were assessed on the scene by paramedics and were released.
Reno was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
Both vehicles were totaled.
