(Spirit Lake)– What started as a noise complaint resulted in the arrest of two local men on drug charges Tuesday.
Spirit Lake Police Chief Jeff Hanson says officers were responding to a noise complaint at an apartment complex when they noticed a green leafy-substance alleged to be marijuana, along with some drug paraphernalia.
Two men in the apartment at the time, 20-year-old Tyrell Howard of Spirit Lake and 25-year-old Christopher Shonkwiler of Estherville were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
The two were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
