(Emmetsburg)—A nationally known speaker who’s one of the nation’s foremost experts on the relationship of lifestyle habits to cardiac health will be the keynote speaker at an event next month in Emmetsburg being put on by the Palo Alto County Health System.
Joe Piscatella will present a program titled “Take a Load off Your Heart” Tuesday, May 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the gym at the Smith Wellness Center at the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
He’ll tell his story about how at the age of 32 he went through open heart bypass surgery after doctors found a 95 percent blockage of his coronary arteries.
In addition to speaking across the country and appearing on some national television network shows, Piscatella has also authored several books on the topic, including a national bestseller titled “Don’t Eat Your Heart Out”.
Piscatella’s presentation May 13th in Emmetsburg is free of charge.
