(Milford)– We’re learning some additional details into the December 15th severe weather that ripped through the area. The National Weather Service confirms damage to some power poles northeast of Fostoria and to a home three miles east of Milford was caused by a weak tornado that touched down around 5:40 pm. The weather service classified it as an EF1 with estimated peak winds of 100 mph. Officials say it had a path of about four miles. No injuries were reported.

It was associated with a line of severe thunderstorms that slammed through the region in a rare December severe weather outbreak.
