(Spencer)—A two-vehicle collision Monday at the intersection of Grand Avenue and West First Street in Spencer sent one person to the hospital.
The Spencer Police Department says 81-year-old Shirley Woodford of Spencer was northbound in the inside lane of Grand Avenue and was turning west onto First Street when she turned into path of a southbound vehicle driven by 32-year-old Melinda Batien of Hartley.
Woodford was taken to Spencer Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries; possible injuries were reported to Batien who didn’t seek immediate treatment.
3,500-dollars in damage was estimated to a 1995 Buick driven by Woodford and to a 1994 Oldsmobile driven by Batien.
Woodford was cited for failure to yield.
The collision took place around 5:17 p.m.
