(Spirit Lake)– Minor injuries were reported Monday evening in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 86 just south of Highway 9.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 69-year-old David Berg of Spirit Lake was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram northbound and was attempting to turn into a driveway when he collided with a 2012 Ford Escape driven by 32-year-old Brandon Niewoehner of Des Moines. Minor injuries were reported to Berg; no injuries were reported to Niewoehner.
Berg was cited for failure to yield.
$10,000 in damage was estimated to the Ford driven by Niewoehner; the pickup driven by Berg sustained an estimated $8,500 in damage.
The collision took place around 6:15 pm.
