(Spencer)– Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle mishap over the weekend in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says Albert Johnson, Junior of Peterson was driving a 1978 Jeep northwest on 492nd Street a half-mile northwest of Peterson when he lost control. The vehicle went into the east ditch and struck a farm field driveway. It then became airborne and landed on its side.
Authorities couldn’t immediately locate the driver upon arriving on the scene. They managed to track him down upon further investigation.
Deputies say Johnson sustained minor injuries and sought his own medical treatment.
Johnson was cited for failure to maintain control.
Authorities say the crash took place around 11:30 p.m. Friday but wasn’t reported to them until a passerby discovered the wreckage the next morning.
A thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
