Minor Injuries Reported In Motorcycle Vs Deer Collision

(Windom, Mn.)– A Windom man sustained minor injuries Thursday when a motorcycle he was driving collided with a deer.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 63-year-old Michael Silver of Windom was driving a 1987 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Highway 71 in Cottonwood county when a deer came out of the west ditch and ran into the motorcycle.

Silver was transported to the Windom hospital where he was treated for a broken foot, cuts and bruises.

The motorcycle was totaled.

The mishap took place around 3:30 p.m.

The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office.
