Minor Injuries Reported In Hwy 9, M-27 Collision

November 22, 2014

(Lake Park)– Minor injuries were reported Friday in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway Nine and County Road M-27 near Lake Park.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 60-year-old Dennis Vandehoef of Harris was northbound on M-27 and had stopped for a stop sign when he pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Joy Pritchard of Spirit Lake who was westbound on Highway Nine.

Pritchard’s vehicle then collided with a stop sign.

Pritchard was taken by private vehicle to Lakes Regional Healthcare where she was treated and released.

No injuries were reported to Vandehoef, who was cited for failure to yield.

Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1989 Buick driven by Pritchard; a 1987 Oldsmobile driven by Vandehoef sustained an estimated four thousand dollars in damage.

The collision took place around 3:00 p.m. Friday.
