(Spencer)– Minor injuries were reported when a car collided with a child over the weekend in Spencer.
Spencer police say some children were playing along a street when one of them was pushed into the street as 26-yar-old Jessica Wittrock of Spencer was driving by. Police say eight-year-old Michael Gabbard of Spencer was struck by the left outside mirror of the vehicle, which was travelling about 20 miles-per-hour.
Gabbard was taken by private vehicle to Spencer Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries to his left foot.
No other injuries were reported.
No charges were filed.
The mishap took place shortly before 7:00 p.m. Saturday on Second Avenue East near the intersection with Eighth Street Southeast.
