(Milford)– Steve Anderson was indeed re-elected Mayor of Milford in last week’s election, even though the incumbent didn’t take out papers seeking re-election, and no one else filed. Anderson says he looks forward to continuing to serve as Mayor, adding the city of Milford will have a lot going on in the next couple of years…
“We’ll just keep working on the stuff we’ve been working on. We’ve been working on a capital improvements plan, we went through the audit tonight. As I pointed out I think there’s some cutting we can still do and maybe bring that levy down a little bit further. The public works building is still in the works. A big project is A34, the 13th Street project that’s coming up here in two years, and so there’s going to be a lot of coordinating with that. So yeah, there’s a lot stuff that’s still going on. I guess I’ll be here to help keep that going forward but try to find somebody who will run in two years.”
A canvass of the November 2nd results at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting show Anderson receiving the most write-in votes, with 86.
