(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision late Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 71 and 202nd Street on the north edge of Milford sent one person to the hospital.
Milford police say it involved vehicles driven by 51-year-old Timothy Knudtson of Milford and 19-year-old Lawrell Birk of Des Moines.
Birk was injured and was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no immediate word on the extent of her injuries or condition. No injuries were reported to Knudtson.
A 1999 Ford Escort driven by Knudtson and a 2005 Ford driven by Birk were totaled.
The mishap took place shortly after 4:00 p.m.
