(Milford)– The city of Milford is thinking about making some changes to its snow removal policy.
The current ordinance requires residents to get vehicles off streets whenever two inches or more of snow falls. City officials say that policy is difficult to enforce. They want something with more teeth in it.
Among a list of possible revisions is one that would ban parking on streets between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily from November 1st until April 1st each year regardless if it snows or not.
Some major changes would also be made to snow removal operations in the downtown area.
The city council Monday directed city staff to write a draft policy and amended ordinance for consideration at their next meeting.
