(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision this (Wednesday) afternoon at the corner of Highway 71 and County Road A-34 in Milford resulted in possible injuries to a Spencer woman.
The Milford Police Department says Nick Larsen of Milford was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup southbound on Highway 71 and was attempting to turn left onto County Road A-34 and Misty Rettig of Spencer was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger northbound on Highway 71 when the two collided.
Police say Larsen couldn’t see the oncoming vehicle driven by Rettig due to a van that was in the inside lane.
Rettig was treated on the scene by Milford Rescue and the Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and was taken by private vehicle to a hospital. No injuries were reported to Larsen.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the Chevrolet pickup driven by Larsen; damage to the Ford Ranger driven by Rettig was estimated at six thousand dollars.
The collision took place around 3:20 p.m.
Authorities say it remains under investigation.
