Milford Collision Sends One Person To Hospital (1)

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision Wednesday night at the intersection of Highways 71 and 86 on the north edge of Milford sent one person to the hospital.

Milford police say 21-year-old Joseph Eternicka of Milford had stopped for a stop light. Police say Eternicka was pulling away when a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Jennifer Jones of Spencer collided with the driver’s side of the vehicle Eternicka was driving.

Eternicka was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with non-incapacitating injuries. Jones was treated on the scene by paramedics. She refused transport to the hospital.

Jones was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

A 2004 Ford Focus driven by Eternicka and owned by Godfather’s Pizza and a 2002 Chrysler Sebring driven by Jones were both totaled.

The mishap took place around 10:00 p.m.

The Milford Police Department was assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
