(Spirit Lake)– State Representative Mike May of Spirit Lake says he’ll seek a third term representing House District Six at the Iowa State House.
While he’s proud of what he’s been able to accomplish so far, May says a lot more needs to be done.
May has served on education, economic growth and development, veteran’s affairs and natural resources committees.
May says further development of the bio-fuels industry, expanding Iowa’s economy, healthcare and reforming commercial property taxes are issues he’d like to address, along with the issue of confined animal feeding operations and utilizing new technology to address odor and protect water quality.
May says he remains committed to working in a bipartisan manner with his comrades on the other side of the aisle.
House District Six includes all of Dickinson county and the northeast corner of Clay county, including the city of Spencer.
