(Spencer)– A man wanted on a warrant out of Plymouth county for allegedly assaulting a police officer and public intoxication was taken into custody this (Friday) morning near Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person around 8:20 a.m. in the 3900 block of 255th Avenue. Upon arriving the deputy found a male riding a bike in the area. The man was identified as 49-year-old Ronald Moriarty of Spencer. A check on Moriarty confirmed he was wanted on the valid warrant.
Moriarty was taken into custody and was transported to the Clay county jail, pending transport to Plymouth county.
