(Boyden)– A Boyden man was arrested Monday evening after a pickup he was driving collided with a gas pump at Co-Op Gas and Oil in Boyden. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 60-year-old Bernardo Gonzalez-Garcia fled from the scene. Deputies found him a short time later.
Gonzalez-Garcia sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention. He was arrested and booked into jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated…second offense, and failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The Boyden Fire Department had to be called to the scene to clean up some gasoline that leaked from the pump.
