(Sibley)– Officials now say a man arrested earlier this week for allegedly bringing a gun onto school grounds at Sibley-Ocheyedan High School is a teacher there.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday arrested 45-year-old Joseph Bradfield of Ashton on a warrant for carrying weapons on school property…a class “D” felony.
According to court documents, a student spotted a handgun in Bradfield’s vehicle September 28th while it was parked in a parking lot at the Sibley-Ocheyedan High School.
Documents say the gun was also loaded.
School officials say they have no reason to believe anyone at the school was in danger.
Bradfield has been placed on leave pending the outcome of his court case.
