Local Man Named One Of Four Conservationists

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The man who heads the Iowa Great Lakes Cleanwater Alliance has been hired to one of four regional Urban Conservationist positions created by Iowa Agriculture Secretary Bill Northey.

Steve Anderson, who works out of the Dickinson County Soil and Water Conservation District Office, will serve northwest and western Iowa.

Anderson says the territory he’ll be covering is extensive, and he’s hoping funding will become available to hire a couple more urban conservationists to split it up a little more.

Anderson says the Dickinson County Soil and Water Conservation District will soon begin taking applications to fill the Cleanwater Alliance Coordinator position.
