(West Des Moines)– A local company was one of four Iowa companies presented today (Tuesday) with a special award recognizing it for its exports.
The “Global Iowa Conference Excellence in Exporting Award” was presented to Brown Medical Industries of Spirit Lake.
The awards were presented by Governor Chet Culver during the annual Global Iowa Conference hosted by the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
The award recognizes those companies for their outstanding commitment, determination, innovation and success in the global market.
The one-day trade conference was attended by Iowa companies who export or are interested in exporting, along with service companies, community and education leaders, students and the general public.
