Local Community Awarded Tree Planting Grant

(West Okoboji)– A local community has been awarded funding for a tree planting project.

Interstate Power and Light Company, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy, and Trees Forever, have awarded more than 136-thousand dollars to 49 Iowa communities through their “Branching Out” program.

Locally, West Okoboji was awarded two thousand dollars through the program.
