A Christmas Lighting Contest in Lake Park is offering cash prizes this holiday season. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
A contest sponsored by Lake Park Utilities and Lake Park Historical Society is encouraging residents to light up the town this holiday season.
Historical Society President Jane Heikens explains. “What we title this is, Let’s Light Up Lake Park, and it’s a Christmas lighting contest. Residential and businesses are involved. First place is $125, second place $75, and third place is $50. They have to register at the Utility Office by the 14th, and the judging takes place on the 16th. Both residential and businesses each get the same amount and they’re judged separately.”
Contestants must have a Lake Park address, and there is no fee to register for the contest.
